Swallowfield is a semi-rural Parish with an abundance of green spaces and surrounded by countryside.

Parks and Recreation Grounds

There are three recreation grounds and parks in the Parish; Swallowfield Recreation Ground, Riseley Recreation Ground and the King George V Playing Field in Farley Hill.

Sports and Fitness

Local sporting clubs and facilities include Riseley Tennis Club, the former Farley Hill Bowls Club, Swallowfield Badminton Club, Swallowfield Fishing ClubSwallowfield Velo Club (cycling) and Shinfield Running Club. There are also several privately run gyms and fitness classes locally. The nearest leisure centres, all operated by Places Leisure on behalf of Wokingham Borough Council, are Ryeish Green Sports Hub, Arborfield Green Leisure Centre and Wokingham Leisure Centre.

For over a decade Swallowfield Parish Allotment Association (SPAA) has managed the allotment provision in the Parish on behalf of the Parish Council. Find out more.
