Hello, my name is Laura Edmonds and I am a local resident living in Swallowfield, having recently moved the short distance from Riseley! My husband and I live in the village with our 3yr old son and 1yr old daughter, 3 dogs and a horse. I am active within the community and believe community matters.

I am lead on recreation in the parish council and hence involved with the playgrounds in the area, most recently the Riseley Playground project. I am also part of the finance committee.

Personally, I am the administrator/manager of the Facebook page "Swallowfield Community" which has over 2,000 members, which is a great forum (although not a council  one) to help the community, bring people together and share thoughts/ideas etc.

Having experience in a number of areas, including finance, rural affairs, communications, and HR I hope to continue to contribute to the beautiful area we live in.

Swallowfield, Riseley, Farley Hill is a lovely place to live and work and as parish councillors we are working hard to help it remain that way.

Away from council work, my husband and I run a busy accountancy practice with offices in Grazeley and Binfield. In my spare time I enjoy riding and competing my horse, walking our dogs and spending time with my friends and family.

Hopefully I will see or hear from you soon and remember to let me know your thoughts, ideas or feedback on Parish matters.

Located in Berkshire and part of the borough of Wokingham, the parish of Swallowfield consists of the villages and settlements of Swallowfield, Riseley, Farley Hill and Stanford End. Swallowfield Parish Council has nine councillors.
