Cllr Victoria Adams
Councillor
My name is Victoria Adams. I am wife to Justin , a mother to 3 young adults and a multitude of animals and am also a VP of Human Resources. I own a small boutique skincare brand which donates some of its profits to charity. I studied Music at university but soon decided teaching wasn’t for me once I was let loose into the classroom. ‘Why doesn’t everyone want to study Music seriously?!’
I have lived in the parish for over 15 years and have recently settled, for life one hopes, in Farley Hill. As soon as we moved to the area the strong sense of community was palpable and the popularity of social media has been a huge compliment to how residents engage and communicate. My family and I have a strong sense of pride in where we live and feel it really is the best of a and yet we are so close to Reading, London, Heathrow and the coast.
I have pride in where we live and I also have keen interest in doing what is right for the community. I have strong commercial thinking and, given my role, can often see both sides of the coin when assessing a dilemma. I am passionate but also calm and methodical. I am told I bring a sense of light and humour to a situation which can often be useful. It is huge privilege to serve the community and give something back after decades working in the corporate world.
Located in Berkshire and part of the borough of Wokingham, the parish of Swallowfield consists of the villages and settlements of Swallowfield, Riseley, Farley Hill and Stanford End. Swallowfield Parish Council has nine councillors.
