In November we are usually busy getting everything in place for our Christmas “do” but this year we are planning to close for the season on Sunday 11 December and to reopen in February.

We’re not being party poopers as we plan a big 10th Anniversary bash in June next year! Yes it will be 10 years since we opened, 1 June 2013 to be precise. The intervening years have seen big changes but the one constant has been the lovely staff and volunteers - the vast majority have been there from day one although others have joined more recently after my appeal for volunteers and I’m delighted to say all have seamlessly become part of the team.

I am still planning to hang up my apron next year after completing 10 years. I would love to carry on, as the tearoom is my “baby”, but health and family must come first.

We are still looking for someone to take on the position of manager. Please be assured that whoever comes forward will be made most welcome and new ideas and plans for the future will be encouraged.
