   Fieldfayre Update - 4 (17th July 2017)    17 July, 2017

Last Week

  • Excavation and groundwork has been underway.
  • Work has continued in the building to prepare the left hand end for temporary occupation by the shop and the internal dividing wall is under construction.
  • Vinyl banner signs have been erected with the message that the shop remains open as usual notwithstanding all the construction activity.

Next Week

  • Excavation and groundwork will continue.
  • Once the trenches for the foundations have been dug, the foundations will be laid. This will involve bringing a concrete pump onto the site and then ready-mix concrete will be delivered so once more there will be large vehicles likely reversing onto the site.
  • The shop and PO remain open as usual. Mr Kumar says that he is experiencing a significant drop-off in trade. Residents can do their bit by continuing to use the shop for all their usual needs. We realise parking can be awkward but please do not be put off.
  • Reminder: there will be the first monthly walk-in session at 6pm on Tuesday 25th July in The Rose Room. This is an opportunity for residents to raise questions, make suggestions and discuss matters related to Fieldfayre with a member of the Council. If you plan to attend, please arrive no later than 6:30pm.
  • Future sessions will be held on the 4th Tuesday of each month – same time, same place – until further notice. These sessions are open to all.
